We’re delighted to introduce a new blog feature, Studio Snapshots, in which we reach out to children’s illustrators and artists and ask them to share a few photos of their creative spaces!
Today, we’ll be visiting Flavia Zorilla Drago. Born and raised in Mexico City, Flavia is a world-traveling graphic designer, illustrator, and writer. Her most recent work is Gustavo, the Shy Ghost (Candlewick, 2020). You can also check out her website, and her Instagram!
This is my working space. I own a laptop, a small Wacom and a portable light box because, before this covid disaster happened I loved traveling and living in different cities, so being able to transport my office with me has always been essential. I have lived and worked in Spain, France and the UK.
I have added some pictures of Mexico, where I am currently based. One of the things that I like the most about living here, is that you can find great colours everywhere! Drawing has always been an important part of my life.
The place with the fountain is a lovely building where I used to take drawing lessons when I was a child.
Many thanks for sharing! Studio images courtesy of Flavia Zorilla Drago
